Valverde x Johnson – Stallion, 173cm, 2019

It was a bitterly cold day (-5c) when we videoed this gorgeous stallion. The rider’s arena was not fit to video in, so she brought him to another arena to do the video, which is always great as then you get a really good feel for a horse and we loved him! He is bright and energetic, without being at all scary and he took to his new surroundings super well. He, of course, had a look a few new things, but then fully got on with the job. He is incredibly flashy when he goes around the arena and he totally catches your eye with his big movement and pretty face. He is a home-bred horse and has been lovingly produced and trained through the levels. He is now at Z2 level (3rd level/advanced medium) but shows plenty of talent for collection so is absolutely an interesting horse to take up through the advanced levels. He is not a stallion at all in his behaviour and travelled to the arena in a 2 horse truck next to a 14.2hh pony, which says something! His canter is big and uphill, his trot lovely and rangy and his walk very soft and schwungy. He also has a lovely mouth and beautiful frame, which makes your life super easy when riding him. This horse would suit most riders and is fit and ready to find his new home.

About the horses

In principle all the horses we offer have been vetted at some point in their lives. It could be some more recently than others.

The horses are stabled all through Holland. We work with a fantastic selection of breeders, private owners, riders and small production yards.

We generally don’t own the horses that we offer. They are owned by our contacts through out Holland.

When buying a horse

We sometimes specify the exact price of the horse, but some owner’s of the horses don’t want the prices online which is why you will only see a price indication by some horses. If you want an exact price for a horse please contact us directly.

The price of the horse is always quoted excluding our 10% commission so that you always know exactly what you are paying.

In Holland, horses owned by a business have vat added on to the price. In general this is 21%, but for breeding stallions and mares it can be 6%. Privately owned horses are vat free.

We work on a 10% commission basis and the commission is paid for the service that we provide. There is a huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes including building/refining our contacts, videoing the horses, inspecting new horses, going to vettings and organising the whole sales process for our clients from beginning to end.

We work on a basis of trust and will try and advise and support you as best as possible. Obviously, the risk of buying via video is always yours, but we will try and make the whole process as transparant as possible.

Payment for the horse is always done directly to the owner of the horse via (International) bank transfer.

Planning a trip

We will most certainly pick you up at the airport and will also drop you back at the airport for your flight home.

In general that is not necessary as we will take you to see all the horses and also pick you up at the hotel every morning. Should you however come with a larger group or want to add some holiday time to your trip it can be a good idea to hire a car.

We generally tend to book the hotels for our clients as the location of the hotel is relevant to the planning that we make for you. It is, however, always possible for you to book your own hotel should you want to stay somewhere specific.

Absolutely! Holland is a beautiful country and very well worth visiting!

No, you do not need to bring a deposit as we work on a basis of trust with our contacts here in Holland.
