Ride before you decide
We offer test-riding as part of our service in finding you the right horse, and this can be completely independent of the horses we have online. Found a horse elsewhere in Holland that you would like tested? We can match you with the best rider to honestly and happily test it for you. Should you want to test a horse represented by RD Horses, we can supply a number of independent test riders instead.
We have a huge network of riders across Holland and close relationships with most stables, so we can always match the right test-rider to the horse you are interested in, or to your own riding style. We stay out of the communication between you and the rider entirely, so the decision to buy, or not to buy, remains completely yours, based on the information you receive directly from the rider.
Aldert Otter
Independent test-rider
Aldert Otter has a wealth of riding experience. Having ridden up to Inter II level himself, he is also a very capable young horse rider and enjoys getting to the bottom of each horse’s personality, capabilities and talent.
He is respectful of the horses themselves too, and always takes the time to get to know a horse well before asking anything of it.
