This is an incredibly beautiful mare with three very good paces. She moves with a lot of lightness around the arena and we love her mechanics. She may not be that big in size, but she absolutely fills the arena with her presence and sparkle. This lovely mare comes out a very good line of proven sport horses and she also did incredibly well at mare testing with a 80/80 score (80% for type/80% for movement). She has been under the saddle for a number of months and is a forward thinking and bright horse. This is absolutely a horse for someone who wants to have the quality to go all the way with as there is a lot of horses that go GP out of this damline. A real gem for the future! About the horses

Do all the horses have x-rays?

In principle all the horses we offer have been vetted at some point in their lives. It could be some more recently than others.

Where are the horses located?

The horses are stabled all through Holland. We work with a fantastic selection of breeders, private owners, riders and small production yards.

Are 'RD Horses for sale' the owner's of the horses offered?

We generally don’t own the horses that we offer. They are owned by our contacts through out Holland.

When buying a horse

Where can I find the prices of the horses?

We sometimes specify the exact price of the horse, but some owner’s of the horses don’t want the prices online which is why you will only see a price indication by some horses. If you want an exact price for a horse please contact us directly.

Does the price of the horse include the commission?

The price of the horse is always quoted excluding our 10% commission so that you always know exactly what you are paying.

What does it mean when the price of the horse is excluding VAT?

In Holland, horses owned by a business have vat added on to the price. In general this is 21%, but for breeding stallions and mares it can be 6%. Privately owned horses are vat free.

Why do I have to pay 10% commission?

We work on a 10% commission basis and the commission is paid for the service that we provide. There is a huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes including building/refining our contacts, videoing the horses, inspecting new horses, going to vettings and organising the whole sales process for our clients from beginning to end.

Can I trust you guys, if I want to buy a horse without travelling to Holland?

We work on a basis of trust and will try and advise and support you as best as possible. Obviously, the risk of buying via video is always yours, but we will try and make the whole process as transparant as possible.

How do I pay for a horse?

Payment for the horse is always done directly to the owner of the horse via (International) bank transfer.

Planning a trip

Do you pick us up at the airport?

We will most certainly pick you up at the airport and will also drop you back at the airport for your flight home.

Do we need to hire a car?

In general that is not necessary as we will take you to see all the horses and also pick you up at the hotel every morning. Should you however come with a larger group or want to add some holiday time to your trip it can be a good idea to hire a car.

Do we need to book a hotel?

We generally tend to book the hotels for our clients as the location of the hotel is relevant to the planning that we make for you. It is, however, always possible for you to book your own hotel should you want to stay somewhere specific.

Can we combine the horse trip with touristic activities?

Absolutely! Holland is a beautiful country and very well worth visiting!

Do we need to bring a deposit?

No, you do not need to bring a deposit as we work on a basis of trust with our contacts here in Holland.
